Symbo are a power-trio from Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire. Hailing from a small town but with big ideas and a huge sound, the band fuse energetic, catchy guitar riffs, melodic & intense bass lines with powerful aggressive drum beats and distinctive vocals. Their unique sound which could be described as a ‘hard rock with a melodic hardcore’ would not be out of place alongside bands such as AFI, Biffy Clyro and Rise Against.
With a highly charged live show, SYMBO have performed across the UK, alongside bands such as Brigade, Lost Alone, The Hedrons and Lauren Harris, along with a number of festivals, headlining Northampton’s Twinfest in 2008 and also performing on all 3 days at the MaNo Festival in Germany.
Symbo’s first single ‘Myliner’ was self-released digitally along with a limited edition CD, which quickly sold out at their live shows on their UK tour, as well as gaining radio airplay. This single brought them to the attention of French label Believe who recently released the ‘My Disguise’ EP across all the major download sites and the release was followed by another UK tour.
More recent highlights include their addition to the BBC Introducing series, performing live on air at the BBC studios and having single ‘Myliner’ featured on Californian Skratch Magazine’s cover CD for the Warped Tour issue. There was more media coverage when Symbo were described as ‘Heapspinning rock’ by the NME along with lots of local media coverage.
The band are currently recording their debut album which will be available to download and on CD mid 2009.

’Corrosive riffs, guttural chord sequences and simple yet powerful melodies make this single sound full-of-life. They combine their huge musical sound with a very powerful voice, and it comes off with great effect.
